Another Nittany Lion is heading to the trenches of the NFL.

Offensive lineman Caedan Wallace was drafted by the New England Patriots with the No. 68 overall pick in the third round of the NFL Draft.

The Robbinsville, New Jersey, native started in all 13 games at right tackle. In 359 pass blocking attempts, he only allowed one sack and his performance earned him All-Big Ten honorable mention.

In 2022, Wallace missed five games in the regular season due to injury but returned in time for the Rose Bowl. As a redshirt sophomore in 2021, he never missed a start.

Wallace’s consistency and experience helped provide Drew Allar security from the right side during his first year as the starting quarterback.

His technique and initial moves off the line disrupted edge rushers that tried to immediately penetrate the pocket. Penn State had a couple of games where its time of possession lasted over 40 minutes which is a credit to the offensive line’s stability.

After five years as the Nittany Lion, Wallace will make his next step in his career as a Patriot.
