One of the most prolific pass rushers in college football is off the board.

EDGE Chop Robinson was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the No. 21 pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Robinson missed time in 2023 with an undisclosed injury suffered against Ohio State on October 21, but still recorded 15 tackles, 12 solo tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 pass breakup in 10 games.

The Gaithersburg, Maryland native garnered First-Team All-Big Ten accolades by the coaches and media, Second-Team All-American honors from Pro Football Focus and USA Today, and Third-Team All-American recognition by the Associated Press in 2024.

Robinson and fellow draft-eligible EDGE Adisa Isaac combined for one of Penn State’s signature moments in 2023 as Robinson flew off the edge in the White Out and strip-sacked Cade McNamara. Isaac picked up the fumble as part of the Nittany Lions suffocating 31-0 defensive effort.

The 6-foot-3, 254-pound athlete transferred to Penn State following his freshman campaign with Maryland in 2021. As a Terrapin, Robinson was named an ESPN Midseason True Freshman All-American as he recorded 19 tackles including 2.5 sacks.

In his first season with the blue and white, the former five-star prospect picked up All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by both the coaches and media as well as gaining Second-Team All-Big Ten honors by Pro Football Focus. The then-sophomore gained the attention of many with 26 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two pass breakups while playing 12 games.

Robinson showed off his athleticism as he ran a 4.48 40-yard dash and 10-foot-8-inch broad jump at the NFL Combine, he will now try to translate that into results in the NFL.
