Penn State’s future backfield took a hit on Friday afternoon.

Four-star running back Alvin Henderson has flipped his commitment from the Nittany Lions to Auburn.

Henderson committed to the Nittany Lions on April 11 and took an official visit with the blue and white last weekend.

The Elba, Alabama, native is the No. 147 player and eighth-best running back in the class, per the On3 industry rankings.

Penn State still holds commitments from three-star running backs Tiqwai Hayes and Kiandrea Barker. It also is hosting four-star in-state product Jabree Wallace-Coleman for an official visit this weekend.

The Nittany Lions currently have 15 commitments in their 2025 class, which ranks No. 14 in the nation.
